Actually I only heard one song of that album, Ain't It Fun and I didn't like it too much, but the myth and your advice made me want to get this. I heard good things about the SY fishtank. In any case I know that SY can't make a bad record. I'll tell you what I think of it later... Of all the stuff I ordered the most intense (after the prelistens) was John Darnielle's Mountain Goats album. Garage sound & songwriting. In one word gorgeous. ... link

Re: Re: Food for the ear It's awfully hard to go wrong with a Mountain Goats album. They're all wonderful. I'm a bit worried now, though, that you weren't swayed by hearing "Ain't It Fun." That's probably one of the more accessible songs on the RftT album. At any rate, you can always resell it for just as much as you paid for it. ... link

Off topic Hi Alex, Soll mich bei dir melden wg. Antville-Blogs. Hast aber keine E-Mail angegeben... aber dafür gibts ja Kommentare. Schreib mir doch mal per E-Mail, welche Du noch übrig hast. Wg. den Kommentaren: Das geht leider nicht anders, weil meine Weblogsoftware selbstgebastelt ist. Der Kommentarlink und sein Code wird beim Aufruf eines einfachen Editierfensters von Perl vorgeneriert, dann wird die Meldung in das Fenster geschrieben und gespeichert. Weil die Meldung u.a. mit Buttons zusammengeklickt wird, muss alles vorgenerierte oben stehen. Obwohl, ich bin ein Trottel! Man könnte ja den vorgenerierten Text in ein Javascript-Button legen und am Ende des Artikels per Knopfdruck anhängen. Siehste, hat dieses sinnlose Geplapper hier doch noch was gebracht, war jetzt aber völlig off-topic .... ... link ... comment |
