Stream the entire new Wilco album A Ghost Is Born here. Quicktime 6 required. I couldn't reach the stream the last couple of days as the site probably was too busy. It works fine now. Sunday still seems to be the lazy internet day.

P.S. Probably nobody cares but I am slightly underwhelmed by listening to this album in its entirety. Somehow I was extremely underwhelmed by almost all of the music I have heard after my holidays. Except the Sonic Youth song. I guess we are heading for a weblog break here.

There is a reincarnation of the legendary I Love Music listening chambers at New York London Paris Munich! It is a kind of blindfold discussion on anonymised mp3s of the pop/rock etc. genre where you are not supposed to give away the artist or title if you know it. Tom will make available a track per week day. When the next song goes up, the artist and title of the former track will be revealed. Sounds excellent. A very good way to discover and discuss music you would probably never have listened to. Unfortunately today's song is not really my cup of tea. It is some kind of reggae dance rap stuff. But I am hopeful that there will be some music more to my liking soon. Via the old ILM chambers I discovered Pinback, Jeff Beck and Ida amongst others.

In the early sixties the German jazz critic Joachim Ernst Berendt discovered him playing as a one man band in the streets of Chicago where he also lived at the time.

has a livejournal now. Yesterday's entry is on Adam Green (ex-Moldy Peaches). I heard some songs of his album a couple of days ago. Excellent songwriter stuff. I found him quite charming too in the radio interview.
