• If you like them you can purchase the CDs e.g. at Amazon. The reissues are quite expensive (16 euros in Germany) but they are definitely worth it.

Writing a blog is one of the loneliest exercises in the world. Or can be. That's why most blogs die too soon. Don't get me wrong. I am not complaining. I get some feedback. Not a lot but enough to make me continue my ramblings. Writing a blog is a labour of love asking for a reaction of the people reading it. When there is none whatsoever the blog will disappear one day. Either totally or it will be transformed into a secret private journal. Which can be nice but which is not what I intend. Been there etc. Maybe I am wrong in generalising this way. There are blogs where you can't comment. But I ask myself for what they are for. It's not only that they are not using the inherent capabilities of the internet. It is that they don't give the reader a choice. They say Friss oder stirb (eat or die). They ask for unconditional love. Which I don't. I love people contradict me. I love more controversial feedback. I love discussions. And learning from others. I am not very sure of myself.

Nothing really

The weblog digest kinja seems to have fallen prey to its own success. It does not show recent posts anymore. Probably too many weblogs in the database. We had this before with freshblogs and others. As I like to practice the myth of Sisyphos I moved copied all blogs from kinja back into blo.gs and there they are on your right hand side in the blogroll (scroll down). Right now 34 excellent blogs (most of them on music) have been updated in the last 24 hours. 21 of them in English, 13 in German. Just go there for some fresh blogging.

P.S. Kinja works again. But who knows for how long? Better not to put all one's eggs in one basket.

Pity party

I could write about the Swell concert two days ago (a mixed affair) or about the latest Fennesz album ('cept one track a total letdown) or about Cluster (maybe the greatest German band ever) or about images of people tortured and killed or or or. But why? What's the point of throwing my words onto the huge rubbish pile called the internet? Nobody cares so why should I? Pathetic but true. I am depressed. Don't listen to me.
