Einerseits bin ich sehr stolz auf mich, dass ich gestern statt Martin C. Strong's Great Indie Discography den Spiegelbestseller Simplify Your Life gekauft habe.

Andererseits habe ich nun noch ein weiteres Ratgeberbuch, das ich wahrscheinlich sowieso nicht lesen oder zumindest nie befolgen werde, unseren bereits überbordenden Bücherrregalen hinzugefügt und weiß genau, dass ich der Diskographie nächste Woche sowieso nicht widerstehen werden kann.

What do you get when you want nothing? Supposing that you are sure that you eventually will always get everything and/or everyone you want to get?

Is that a malady you can die of? Apparently when the mathematician Paul Erdös said that a person had "left" he really meant that the person had died. When Erdös said someone had "died" he meant he/she had finished doing mathematics. If you take weblogging instead of maths there is a good chance that I will "die" soon if the feedback continues to recede.

I am seriously thinking of writing an uninhibited stream-of-consciousness private journal for nobody except me.

Call it synchronicity or bad memory. For a moment I thought fucktastic was a word I had just made up myself. But of course not. It even is in the Urban Dictionary.

I am still alive. Thanks for asking. In the past days I have been mainly making some naive, crude and undigested comments on Adorno's Minima's Moralia. Every time it is the same thing with me and Adorno, I let myself provoke by him and I think I can outsmart him but it always finishes badly.

I have also started working on the review of my favourite album of 1976. Two days ago I even had finished a draft version. I lost it when I answered an e-mail on the subject of saying "Du" (instead of "Sie", that is the formal way of addressing people in German whereas "Du" is the informal one) to someone. After having to log in to Antville again the post was gone. Lesson: Thou shalt never do two things at the same time.

My fave 1976 album didn't receive any votes in the now closed poll. Somehow that always makes me happy. I am such a snob. Tom Waits Small Change won the poll in front of my favourite album of my favourite female songwriter ever, Joni Mitchell's wonderful album on travelling Hejira.
