I have changed slightly what Salam Pax, the Bagdad blogger said recently. He was referring to the addictive element of blogging. I think the exhibitionist EGO part is quite important too.

Suggest me a song to listen to and I'll try to write something about it.

Could one of the people who came here via seach windowsmedia please stand up and tell me in the comments (short and painless registration) or via e-mail (alex63 at bigfoot dot com) how he/she got here? There are still about 200 visits coming from there every day. The only query which lead to my blog I found was the one for "Field Mice". That surely can't be the reason for all this traffic, can it?

Can anyone explain to me how 212 visitors arrived on this page in the last 24 hours via this Search Windowsmedia redirect link?

I doubt that there will be many updates here in the coming weeks. There is a lot of work to do and I am in one of these internet weariness phases.

A book I have just started which I am enjoying a lot: Stephen Vizinczey's In Praise of Older Women from 1965. It makes very easy and entertaining reading in the train to work. I am pretty much at the beginning. The autobiographical hero who is twelve or thirteen hasn't lost his virginity yet. But he has been very close already. Additionally he is arranging the rendez-vous of American soldiers with Austrian women who are in need of money...

it happens more and more often. i look for something on the web. for an answer to a question and one of the first results is my weblog. it feels like being a very helpless god.

weblogs which i have read for a while and where i maybe even commented who never gave a toss about my weblog (or deleted me from their links) and who will leave my blogroll right now. additionally they are not interesting enough to make me waste a permanent link. yes i am in a bad mood. but bad moods rule sometimes:

in meinen antville referrers ist fast nur noch spam. am schlimmsten ist dieses springbreak-blog. als ich auf die unscheinbare url geklickt habe, da haben sich auf einmal so viele fenster geöffnet, dass es nur noch einen ausweg gab. den computer auszuschalten. ob das wohl ein wink des himmels ist?
