Inspired by this post where a German movie blogger created a Google custom search engine which scans movie magazines I finally came around in doing something similar for music.

My music search engine takes into account 150+ blogs, forums, review sites, magazines, resources. It seems to work all right. A search for joanna newsom ys yields the bulky I Love Music thread as second result, that's fine with me. Nevertheless the search engine does not seem to include all pages of the sites which mention the search terms. E.g. the results for "keith jarrett" do not include the one, two, three ILM threads with his name in their title. Whereas the same Google search limited to the ILM site has two of them on top of the results page. The third one is still missing though.
