[music, albums] August 12, 2004 at 10:02:00 PM CEST The Equatorial Stars Fripp's & Eno's new album arrived already today in my mail box. Speedy delivery from London! I am listening to it for the third time now and it keeps getting better and better. Reminding me of the Kosmische Musik of Tangerine Dream and Cluster in the early 70s. Some parts are quite intimidating and almost freak me out. But it is mostly slowly flowing and ebbing music. I like to listen to it in the background when doing something else like reading or writing. Somehow the music depresses me when I focus too much on it. It feels empty and vain on its own. But the throbbing shattering very slow earth beat in Lupus definitely has a subconscious effect on me.

waren wir nicht schon beim du? an dieses antville-sie werde ich mich in diesem leben nicht mehr gewöhnen. am samstag abend habe ich bestellt, heute ist die cd gekommen. macht nicht mal vier werktage. kostet allerdings über 20 öre, wenn ich richtig umgerechnet habe. ... link

Ja, waren wir. Aber das antville-Sie hat auch was, finde ich. Auf ca. 20,50 Euronen bin ich auch gekommen. Das ging dann aber doch recht fix, solange der Zoll es nicht verzögert. Hatte mich innerlich auf mindestens eine Woche eingestellt. ... link

Habe jetzt hier nicht genau nachgesehen, aber haben Sie die neue Biosphere bereits gehört? Autour De La Lune. Wundervoll. Biosphere und Brian Eno. Für mich immer eins gewesen, weiß auch nicht, wieso. ... link

biosphere sagt mir jetzt gar nix. bei dem titel habe ich autour de lucie gelesen, eine französische band mit hyper-erotischer frauenstimme. in der bbc review vergleichen sie autour de la lune tatsächlich mit eno's apollo, die ich gerade eben erstanden, aber noch nicht gehört habe. hört sich sehr vielversprechend an. p.s. habe übrigens gerade mal eine biosphere-diskussion bei ilm reanimiert. mal sehen, ob da noch was kommt... ... link

Ich selbst habe das Album noch nicht gehört, jedoch bisher lediglich positives darüber gelesen. Das will natürlich nichts heißen. Daher einfach einige Samples anhören und sich einen eigenen Eindruck bilden. ... link ... comment
